This unique 50-Hour “Next Level Training” is a unique opportunity to gain proficiency, understanding and technique in the progression of Ashtanga Yoga.
The immersion will be filled with great depth of information, as well as plenty of insights and fun, including:
David began his journey of Yoga in 1969 when he and his brother Doug practised in a small park at the end of their street in Houston, Texas. There were few sources for yoga at that time so they practised from whatever books they could find. In 1973 David discovered Ashtanga after he met David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff in Encinitas, CA. He made his first trip to Mysore in 1977. David is one of only a handful of Westerners to have learned the full Ashtanga system including all of the asana sequences and pranayama.
Today David is recognised as one of the world’s foremost practitioners and instructors of Ashtanga Yoga. His courses are presented in a supportive and compassionate way, making it accessible to all levels of practitioner to participate.
Due to the deeper level of study and greater depth of immersion, there is a higher expectation for the participant’s experience level and commitment to attend.
To participate, you must meet both the following prerequisites.
Prerequisite #1
Completion of David’s 40-hour Primary Series Training, OR a similar training with another teacher. Please submit, with your application, either David’s 40-hour certificate, or another Ashtanga teacher’s similar certificate.
