He will support your development of yoga, whatever style of yoga you practice. Backed by 32 years of teaching yoga and personal development, Alaric will guide you to incorporate the first seven limbs of ashtanga yoga into your asana practice.
As a teacher trainer, he desires to support teachers who care for the future of yoga.
Presently, Alaric is exploring how yoga can be communicated through Positive Psychology Mindfulness and Character Strengths and this is likely to inform his teaching and a student’s experience in his class.

Pranayama
“Asana makes Pranayama possible; Pranayama gives asana meaning”.
Alaric has a passion for Pranayama and has practised and taught it for decades. Students will learn from the numerous pranayamas available to senior Iyengar Yoga teachers; some of these are strong physical practices and others are refined and subtle.
You will be guided in a structured exploration of the whole body-mind-soul of your breathing process.
Alaric will show you how to access the related practices of Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration) and Dhyana (the experience of meditation).
Music is not used in this class.
