Yoga Sangraha
with Eddie Stern
10th -12th April, 2026

Mission is privileged to partner with Down To Earth, a highly-regarded yoga studio in Tufnell Park, to bring the renowned Eddie Stern to London for a special teaching of Yoga Sangraha.

Yoga Sangraha is not a new style of yoga, but a fusion of classical Indian traditions with contemporary scientific understanding. Created by yoga educator, author, and Sanskrit researcher Eddie, Yoga Sangraha offers grounding and calming practices designed to regulate and balance the nervous system.

Join Eddie for this accessible weekend of workshops — available as a complete program or as individual sessions — and explore a range of classical yoga techniques that cultivate focus, stability, and inner harmony.

Concentration: The Practice of Presence - Part 1

Friday 10th April: 4.00-5.00pm
£23 or £243 for full weekend

Join Eddie in the first of three lectures this weekend, explaining a five-step process on how Yoga teaches concentration, and how it differs from our usual ideas of what it means to focus. Concentration is one of humanities’ most valued attributes, yet it can be so hard to actually do. Yoga describes clearly what concentration is – a technical term called Samadhi – as well as what the mind is, and how to use it. Eddie will cover these ideas in simple ways over the weekend. There will also be chanting and meditation practices within the lecture. While you can book into the lectures individually, they are best taken together as they are continuous in nature.

Sun Salutation Class & Pranayama - Level 1

Friday 10th April: 5.15-7.15pm
£46 or £243 for full weekend

The Sun Salutation class is a lot of fun! Eddie will lead students through the six different types of Sun Salutes from Yoga Sangraha, and then six different dands from the Hindu wrestling tradition (called Kushti.) This is followed by a few standing asanas, cool down seated postures, slow breathing, and meditation to finish. In this class you will also be introduced to some of the fundamental building blocks of Yoga Sangraha Level 1. It is an energetic class, but accessible to all. You’ll also explore an introductory pranayama practice where you will learn how to slow the breath down to bring a deep calm to the nervous system. It is an accessible, gently yet highly effective practice, suitable for all levels.

Yoga Sangraha - Level 1

Saturday 11th April: 12.30-2.00pm
£35 or £243 for full weekend

Sangraha means “a collection” or “compendium.” This class is a grounding and calming sequence of postures arranged in a specific order, which has a positive effect on the nervous system. The postures come from the larger Hatha Yoga tradition, but not from any one lineage. Eddie has put these sequences together over the past couple of years of experimentation and exploration of Hatha Yoga practices and texts.

Pranayama Level 1 & Intro to Level 2

Saturday 11th April: 2.30-3.30pm
£23 or £243 for full weekend

This pranayama practice has the same impact as Level 1 that was taught on Friday, but introduces two extended practices that are both energizing and grounding. You will practise eight different breathing patterns, followed by a short relaxation practice.

Concentration: The Practice of Presence - Part 2

Saturday 11th April: 4.00-6.00pm
£46 or £243 for full weekend

Join Eddie in the second of three lectures this weekend, explaining a five-step process on how Yoga teaches concentration, and how it differs from our usual ideas of what it means to focus.

Yoga and Strength

Sunday 12th April: 12.30-2.00pm
£35 or £243 for full weekend

This is a challenging class that combines Yoga with classical Indian physical exercise practices, including different types of push ups and squats, along with dynamic practices that are cardiovascular in nature. There is about 40-50 minutes of Sun Salutations, dynamic practices, and strength building and mobility practices, followed by calming asanas.

Concentration: The Practice of Presence - Part 3

Sunday 12th April: 2.30-4.00pm
£35 or £243 for full weekend

Join Eddie in the last of the weekend lectures, explaining a five-step process on how Yoga teaches concentration, and how it differs from our usual ideas of what it means to focus.

About this collaboration

At Mission, we believe that the strength of the yoga community lies in collaboration, not competition. That’s why we are delighted to be working alongside the highly regarded Down to Earth.

In a city where yoga studios often operate independently, partnerships like this are rare, but deeply important. By joining forces, we aim to create a culture of connection and mutual support across London’s yoga landscape. Our shared intention is simple: to offer meaningful practices to as many people as possible, and to uplift the work of studios both large and small.
