Calisthenics

I am a calisthenics and movement enthusiast with a background in dancing. My calisthenics journey started 3 years ago when the pandemic forced the dance studios to close and I discovered the outdoor calisthenic bars at the park. I felt the connection with the sport straight away and enjoyed the community aspect of being surrounded by people who will support you to be better.

 

Remembering well what it feels like to be a beginner, I focus is on driving technique and form, and its importance in building the foundation needed for all skills. In my classes you should expect to build confidence, strength and achieve your goals all whilst having fun.

Trained as a dancer, Anna discovered Calisthenics when Covid closed dance studios and her love of movement led her to discover the outdoor calisthenics bars in the park. Feeling a connection to the movements straight away and enjoying the community aspect of being surrounded by like-minded people, she fell in love with the sport. Mentored by Jermaine Straker, Anna progressed quickly and is now a competing athlete for Team Cali Kulture.

 

Anna has never forgotten what it feels like to be a beginner, and her classes are a very encouraging place. Anna focuses on technique and form — the foundation needed for all skills. In Anna’s classes you can expect to build confidence, strength and achieve your goals all whilst having fun.
