Handstands + Mobility

After some years devoted to my yoga practice and teaching, in 2010 I decided to fully commit his practice to hand balance. I has studied and practised with a number of mentors and teachers across the world, such as Claude Victoria, Yuval Ayalon (whom I have assisted at plenty of his UK visits), Valérie Doucet, Nicolás Montes de Oca, Mikael Kristiansen and Tom Weksler.

In my classes, I try to teach people not only to handstand, but also what the handstand can teach us about our bodies and minds. Students can apply these experiences and lessons not just to their hand balance practice but to any other discipline they wish to learn. Expect my classes to be physically and mentally demanding, as a clear mental focus is essential to the learning of any skill.

Class Descriptions

Handstands

This class is dedicated to helping you understand what is the right technique for you. You will learn how to control your body while upside down. How to create and manage balance so that you can enjoy and feel free on your hands. To rule your mind and your body when uncomfortable by gaining strength, flexibility, balance and technique.

Hips (Pancake)

Working towards the pancake splits (legs out to the sides and folding through the middle), this class will strengthen and lengthen the hip flexors, adductors, hamstrings and lower back. Another one that’s good for desk workers and fine for beginners up to more advanced students and anyone who just wants to improve the help of their hips.

Full Body Mobility

Looks to increase your range of motion across the body, touching on the shoulders, spine and hips. Another good class for pretty much everyone and it can be scaled appropriately for what your current level is.
