Weekend of Workshops
with Jared McCann
October 23 – 25, 2026

£50 for each workshop or £235 for the whole weekend

Grounding Vinyasa

Friday October 23rd: 6.00-8:00pm
£50 or £235 for full weekend

The class begins with a dynamic and sweaty flow to strengthen and energize your legs, hips, and pelvis. Once warmed up, we will hit the floor to explore depth in various hip openers. Certain postures on the floor will be held for longer to give students time to feel and connect to their lower energy centers. Trust and Control, Power and Shame…the two sides of the root and sacral energies do a dance that we will explore. You do not need to put your legs behind your head to attend this class, but you will try.

Advanced Hatha Yoga

Saturday October 24th: 12.30-2:30pm
£50 or £235 for full weekend

This is a sequence from the Bishnu Ghosh lineage that contains 84 classical yoga asanas. The class is taught differently in that Jared will practice during the class and demo the poses, while giving verbal feedback to students. If a normal yoga class is equivalent to brushing your teeth, this class is like going to the dentist for a teeth cleaning. Explore every twist, backbend, compression, hip opener, and inversion in classical Hatha Yoga. This class is the foundation of Jared’s practice and he has been teaching it for over 2 decades. It is a sparkling jewel of Yoga Asana.

All levels welcome.

Philosophy and Meditation

Saturday October 24th: 3:00 – 5:00pm
£50 or £235 for full weekend

Jared began his mediation journey at 16 when he went to visit his grandmother’s meditation group in Missoula, Montana. One of the practitioners there was skilled with energy work and offered to turn Jared into a heterosexual if he so desired. He declined, but the experience nonetheless shifted his perception of reality and awoke a deep spiritual curiosity within him. After his teenage years, he spent time with 2 meditation teachers to learn different techniques to still the mind. In the workshop Jared will share one of the techniques which is called Sum Phat meditation, or meditation of the Heart. This style comes from a Taoist Lineage and two words that describe this type of meditation are acceptance and flow. Sum Phat has been instrumental in Jared’s healing; specifically being able to process and heal deep-seated, old emotional patterning. Let’s try it…together.

Backbending Masterclass

Sunday October 25th: 12.30-2:30pm
£50 or £235 for full weekend

Before Jared opened his first Yoga studio in 2015, Talia Sutra sent a shaman to his house. The shaman asked, “who will you teach yoga to?” Jared replied, “I just want to teach yoga to anyone who wants to learn yoga.” The shaman quickly replied, “No you don’t! You are not here to teach everyone yoga. You are for high energy beings to go even higher.” And so this class was created, as a labor of love, for those high energy beings who want to go even higher. Yes, of course we will do the scorpion. It’s my favorite pose!

Alignment and Bandha Workshop of Classical Asanas

Sunday October 25th: 3:00 – 5:00pm
£50 or £235 for full weekend

For the workshop, we will work on alignment for various classical yoga postures. This alignment will be paired with Mula, Uddiyana, and Surya Bandha, also known as the lower locks. Good alignment and proper bandhas create a sensation of a perfect fit. Like an ancient archetype that aligns the body with the soul. We will cover alignment for Down Dog, Updog, and Chaturanga forming the basis of the Vinyasa. We will then move onto standing postures with Standing Head to Knee, Standing Bow, and Half Moon pose. We will work on proper alignment for Handstand and Forearm stand. And we will finish with 2 classical backbends, the Cobra and the Floor Bow. This class will help you to find a safe, sustainable, and feel good practice long term.

This workshop is important for both new and experienced students.
