Patrick balances athletic, strength-based movements like handstands and unconventional transitions with fluid, creative sequencing inspired by natural movement patterns that will take you well beyond the formation of physical shapes and deep into self-inquiry and awareness.

 

Patrick is a well-known internationally travelling yoga teacher and movement educator, celebrated for creating the Awakening Yoga system – a dynamic and fluid vinyasa-style practice that builds strength, flexibility and encourages playful expression.

The Fluid State of Solar Flow

Friday 22nd May: 6.00-8.30pm

Build your practice from the ground up in this breath-led workshop designed to reconnect you with the roots of vinyasa yoga.

 

You’ll explore foundational patterns from Patrick’s Awakening Yoga system, working with familiar postures in new ways while laying the groundwork for deeper transitions and more nuanced control. This is where strength meets curiosity—where you will refine how you move so your practice can grow with clarity and direction.

 

Expect breath-driven sequencing, practical alignment cues, and the space to meet yourself honestly on the mat.

 

Move with Purpose and Precision

In this skills-based yoga workshop, you will blend modern mobility principles with the Awakening Yoga technique to better understand how your body moves—and how to move with greater awareness.

 

You’ll explore active vs. passive range, develop precision in transitions, and fine-tune the timing that gives your practice more flow and control. Whether you’re looking to feel better in your body or refine your understanding of movement, this session will offer tools that translate directly into your personal path.

Igniting Inversions

Centering Self in the Sky

Find the “through line” that connects many different territories in the upside-down world with this playful exploration of handstands and other inversions. Here, you will learn to move with seamless energy in order to bring lightness and control to your practice as you develop a sense of ease on your hands.

 

Through practices techniques that build structure and encourage freedom we will find comfort upside down together.

The Deep Dive

Intention & Integration in Personal Practice

Sunday 24th May: 12.30 – 3.00pm

This workshop is an invitation to let go of the lines and dive into the possibilities.

 

Through guided movement, layered sequencing, and open-format exploration, you’ll begin to sense how freedom and form can support one another. Drawing from the principles of Patrick’s Awakening Yoga system and the expressive nature of Free Wave Flow, you’ll move through practices that encourage curiosity, unlock potential, and reconnect you with the deeper rhythm of your body.

 

Expect to shift perspectives, try something new, and experience your practice in a way that feels both grounded and expansive.

The Lift Off

Arm Balance Technique & Transitions

This yoga workshop explores the lightness that lives inside every lift-off—whether you’re stepping into your first arm balance or layering new transitions into your existing practice.

 

Through smooth movement, strength drills, and skill-specific alignment work, we’ll explore how to find stability, timing, and soft control in your balance work. You’ll learn how to float with focus, adjust with confidence, andstay connected to breath and intention through every shape.

Patrick is based in Seattle, WA, and travels the world leading classes, workshops, and teacher training programs. He is the creator of Awakening Yoga, a progressive practice style rooted in hatha vinyasa yoga with an emphasis on accessible and creative movement practices – paying homage to the ritualistic traditional nature of the practice while incorporating modern movement patterns for today’s bodies and minds.
