Rocket Yoga at Mission

Classic Rocket Sequences, Open to Everyone

Rocket Yoga at Mission in London is a dynamic, intelligent and adaptable system of yoga based on the Ashtanga method and developed by Larry Schultz. It was designed to “get you there faster” (wherever “there” is for you!)

We teach the classic sequences: Rocket 1, 2 and 3. These are NOT progressively harder levels – they are simply different sequences.  Every Rocket class at Mission is fully adaptable.

At Mission, we protect the Rocket lineage and teach the classic sequences, by the book. We also teach a sequence that changes weekly, but is rooted in the Rocket method.

Our skilled and experienced teaching team make the sequences accessible to real bodies, real lives, and real students.

Whether you come for structure, freedom, sweat, strength, or rhythm, Rocket at Mission meets you where you are and gives exactly what you need in the moment.

What Makes Rocket Different

Rocket is a style of yoga that is built on:

  • Strength and stamina
  • Creative transitions
  • Accessible inversions
  • Freedom to modify
  • Rhythm, breath and momentum
  • It takes the structure of Ashtanga and adds adaptability, play, and possibility. You are encouraged to modify, pause, rest, or explore depending on what your body needs that day.

Rocket at Mission is:

  • Open to beginners, intermediate and experienced students
  • Rooted in tradition
  • Taught with clarity and care
  • Adaptable, not prescriptive

Your Teachers

ROCKET

This is the bridge class into the Rocket system. The sequence is based on the classic Rocket material but it is not fixed.

The teacher has freedom to loop sections, slow things down, simplify, workshop, and meet the room where it is.

This class is ideal if:

  • You’re curious about Rocket but unsure where to start
  • You’re nervous about the numbers Rocket 1, Rocket 2, Rocket 3
  • You want space to explore and ask questions
  • You like time to settle into new material

Rocket Yoga is energetic, strong, and rhythmic, but always adaptable. This class builds strength, stamina, and confidence while keeping the door wide open.

ROCKET 1

Rooted in Ashtanga’s Primary Series and remixed by Larry Schultz, Rocket 1 builds strength, balance, and mobility.

Expect:

  • Standing sequences
  • Forward folds and twists
  • Accessible inversions
  • Creative transitions linking breath and movement

This is the foundation of the Rocket system. Strong yet approachable, it supports repetition, learning, and steady progress.

Rocket 1 is not a beginner label. It is a specific sequence. You choose how deeply you go.

ROCKET 2

Based on Ashtanga’s Intermediate Series, Rocket 2 moves into backbends, arm balances, and inversions.

Expect:

  • Spinal opening
  • Strong arm work
  • Inversions and balances
  • Fast, fluid transitions

This sequence builds heat, power, and focus. It is playful, demanding, and highly adaptable. You take what you need and leave what you don’t.

Rocket 2 is not “harder.” It is simply a different map, and it is fully adpatable for beginners, intermediate and advanced practitioners.

ROCKET 3

Known as “Happy Hour,” Rocket 3 blends Rocket 1 and Rocket 2 into a full-spectrum practice.

Expect:

  • Forward folds
  • Backbends
  • Twists
  • Inversions
  • Constant, fluid motion

Fast, freeing, and dynamic, this is the complete Rocket experience. You can simplify, pause, or go full flight depending on your body and your day.

Rocket 3 is not elite. It is adaptable, not exclusive.
